Privacy Policy

You share real parts of your life with Actioners: what matters, what feels difficult, and what you want to do next. You deserve a clear explanation of how that information is used and what you control.
The full policy
Actioners (“we,” “us,” or “our”) explains here how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit actioners.ai, use the Actioners iOS app, participate in our beta or research programs, or contact us. Together, these are the “Services.”
Actioners is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact dani@actioners.com. Separate notices may explain additional practices for a particular feature or study.
1. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on the version of the Services and the features you use.
- Account and contact information. Your account identifier, name and email supplied through Sign in with Apple, including an Apple private relay address if you choose one; a phone number if you provide it; and messages you send to support.
- Information you share with Actioners. Onboarding answers, goals, interests, preferences, personal context, chat messages, feedback, selected photos and files, text you submit through dictation, and audio processed when you use voice conversation. This can include sensitive information if you choose to share it.
- Actions and personalized context. Proposed and accepted actions, check-ins, reported outcomes, reflections, and AI-generated responses, summaries, profile information, and insights derived from your activity and content.
- Optional connected information. Calendar events and availability, health and activity summaries, and information from other integrations you enable, within the permissions you grant. This may include content about other people contained in a calendar entry or file you choose to share.
- Purchase information. Subscription status, product and transaction identifiers, purchase dates, and entitlement information provided by Apple and our subscription provider. Apple processes App Store payments; Actioners does not receive your full payment card number.
- Device and usage information. IP address, browser or device characteristics, operating system and app version, time zone, request timestamps, feature interactions, diagnostic and crash information, and account or session identifiers. If you enable notifications, we receive a device push token and notification preferences.
- Beta and research information. Feedback, participation and consent records, and session recordings where the beta or research activity includes recording, as explained below.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from Apple, connected services, and providers that help us operate the Services. Please share other people's information only when you have the right to do so.
2. How we use information
We use account information to sign you in and maintain your account; your content and connected context to provide AI responses, suggest relevant actions, and personalize your experience; action history and feedback to help you reflect on progress; and transaction information to manage subscription access.
We use contact details and notification preferences to respond to requests and deliver service communications or notifications you enable. We use diagnostics, usage information, and beta feedback to understand reliability, investigate errors, evaluate features, and improve the Services. We also use information to prevent misuse, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use health information for advertising.
3. AI processing and human review
Actioners sends your messages and relevant context to AI services to generate responses, summaries, suggestions, and personalized information. That context may include prior conversations, files, goals, action history, and connected information relevant to the feature. AI-generated information about you may be inaccurate; you can request correction or deletion.
Our app uses Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Bedrock, for AI processing. Generating a response means processing your information with a model; it does not, by itself, mean training that model on your conversation. AWS may retain or review requests for safety and abuse prevention depending on the model, applicable terms, and service configuration. See AWS's data protection and data retention documentation.
Authorized people working on Actioners may access content when needed to provide support, investigate safety or reliability issues, evaluate and improve coaching, or review beta feedback and research sessions. Conversations are stored and processed by the service, so they are not end-to-end encrypted in a way that prevents Actioners from accessing their content.
AI diagnostics and conversation review. We also use PostHog to retain records of AI interactions. These records can include full prompts, responses, and information passed to and returned by the AI's tools. Authorized Actioners team members may review them to understand and improve coaching and investigate issues.
Session recordings. Some beta and research experiences use PostHog session replay. A replay can contain screenshots, text, images, and interactions visible inside Actioners, including personal information appearing in a conversation or connected-data view. These recordings help us understand usability problems and evaluate the product. Review the participation and recording information provided for your beta or study. You can contact us to withdraw from research or request deletion of associated personal information; where provided, you can also use the in-app pilot withdrawal control.
Actioners provides suggestions for you to consider. It does not make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, or other legal or similarly significant matters on your behalf.
4. Health information and device permissions
Apple Health. If you enable the integration and grant access, Actioners can read summaries such as sleep duration and stages, steps, active energy, exercise, workouts, mindful minutes, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate. The data types available depend on your permissions and device. We use this information to personalize context about capacity, routines, and actions.
Health summaries can be transmitted to and stored on Actioners' servers and included in relevant AI processing. Health information you type or upload is also processed as part of your content. Actioners is a personal action and reflection service, not a medical provider.
Calendar. With permission, we process calendar event information and availability to understand your schedule. Event information can include titles, times, and other details provided by the calendar integration. It is not limited to an anonymous busy/free signal.
Voice conversation. If you use voice conversation, ElevenLabs processes your microphone audio to transcribe what you say and processes response text to generate spoken replies. Transcribed conversation text becomes part of your Chat history.
Photos, files, microphone, and notifications. You choose which photos or files to attach. Voice input requires microphone permission; dictation may also require speech-recognition permission depending on the feature. Submitted text becomes part of your content. Notification permission allows us to deliver reminders and service updates, which may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings.
You can turn integrations off in Actioners where available and revoke permissions in iOS Settings or Apple Health. Revoking access stops future access through that permission; it does not automatically delete information already received. To request deletion of previously collected information, contact us.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here. The period depends on the type and sensitivity of the information, your account and feature use, the reason for collection, security needs, and legal obligations.
Account information, conversations, uploaded files, action history, and personalized context are generally retained while your account is active unless you delete them through available controls or request deletion. Diagnostics, beta recordings, and service-provider records may have separate retention periods. Purchase, consent, support, or security records may need to be retained after account closure to meet legal obligations, document requests, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes.
You can request account deletion through Account > Delete account in the app or by emailing dani@actioners.com. Account deletion removes the account and associated information from our active application systems, subject to applicable exceptions. Deletion from providers, logs, and backups may require additional processing and is not necessarily immediate. We can explain applicable retention or deletion exceptions when responding to your request.
Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. Deleting your Actioners account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions through your Apple account.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can choose what to share, manage available profile and content controls, revoke device permissions, disable notifications, and request account deletion. If you receive marketing emails, use their unsubscribe link or contact us. We may still send necessary service communications.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have the right to:
- Know how we process personal information and obtain access to it or a portable copy.
- Correct inaccurate information or request deletion.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
- Opt out of a sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, or limit particular uses of sensitive information where those rights apply.
- Appeal a denied request or complain to your local privacy regulator.
Send requests to dani@actioners.com, preferably from the email associated with your account. Describe the request and the account or information involved. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain if an exception applies. To appeal, reply to our response with “Privacy appeal.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
California residents. The categories, sources, purposes, recipients, and retention criteria above describe our personal-information practices. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, you may exercise the rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive equal service, along with applicable rights concerning sale, sharing, and sensitive information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. International processing and legal bases
Actioners and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we must use an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about transfers relevant to your data.
Where European, UK, or similar data protection law requires a legal basis, we process account and service information to perform our contract with you; security, diagnostic, and support information for legitimate interests in maintaining and improving a reliable service; information needed to comply with legal obligations on that basis; and optional information on the basis of consent where required. For health or other specially protected information, we rely on explicit consent or another basis permitted by applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
10. Security
We protect account access through Sign in with Apple, authenticated sessions, and access checks that associate requests with your account. The website and the app's public API endpoints use HTTPS to protect information while it travels between your browser or device and those endpoints.
These protections work alongside the server-side processing and authorized access described in this policy. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and Apple account secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access to your Actioners account.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where applicable law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services or our practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required, such as in the app or by email, and obtain consent where applicable law requires it.
